Estate Agency of the Year Awards: 2009 - 2010: 3 awards won!
Improving on standards and results for last year Greene & Co. go from strength to strength winning not one but three awards. Gold for Best UK Medium Agency and Silver for Best Customer Service and Best London Agency. The event, now in its sixth year, is widely recognised as the most important in the industry calendar that prides itself on a judging process that is fair and consistent. This year the approach to decision making was to reward those firms that had made clear progress last year when facing notoriously difficult market conditions.

For the second consecutive year, Greene&Co have won the Gold Award for Customer Service across the UK property market. What an honour!
Again, supported and judged by the NAEA they had the following to say about us;

Here's what the judges had to say... "Introducing a "goodwill charter" to counter gazumping and gazundering has generated an additional 30% of business for Greene & Co. Customer satisfaction is at a high, perfectly illustrated by very exuberant testimonials. The company is very visible in the community, with regular charity involvement and appearances on national television. Staff are enjoying training trips, receive motivational meetings and intensive training and development, and are given the tools to really get the job done. And the company turnover and profit is rising year on year. It seems that believing in Kaizen - the philosophy of continuous improvement - is really working for Greene & Co., whatever the market conditions."

"Greene & Co present a well-planned, consistent marketing campaign. From the launch of the landlord and vendor information packs to the production of area guides for their Crouch End office, they remain internally and externally true to their brand values. A unique idea was to distribute the promotional "Go Greene" bags, which not only demonstrates social and environmental concern but also strengthens brand awareness and perception in the locality where 30,000 branded bags were distributed. Community focus is also very apparent in the sponsorship of various local clubs, school support and fundraising for charities, again whilst maintaining brand values. Greene & Co is also strong on the measurement of campaign effectiveness, proving the value of all their marketing. This is illustrated by them having moved into a Top 5 agency position in Crouch End by the middle of 2008."

2008 Cecil Jackson-Cole Award for Corporate Social Responsibility
Also awarded at the Estate Agency of the Year event was this special award, set up to recognise and reward the agent who exceled in their commitment to business, community and environmental issues. It was awarded to Greene & Co. for our dedication to Corporate Responsibility, understood and embraced by the whole company. The judges looked for proof of a clear, well communicated CSR approach fully integrated into the agents everyday business approaches as well as examples of projects and strategies that have a positive impact on the our local community.
The Negotiator Awards, November 2008
Tuesday evening, 11th November 2008 saw Greene & Co. named Estate agency marketing team of the year and Estate agency employer of the year, their managing director David Pollock enjoying personal success in being named Estate agency leader of the year as well as the company picking up the top award of the night – The Negotiator’s Best of the Best trophy.

Marketing Team of the Year: Winner
Fighting off tough competition, Greene & Co. were named Estate agency marketing team of the year as host TV comedian Rory Bremner stated “The judges were impressed with the sheer range of marketing activities developed by the small marketing team. They also liked the way response levels were carefully monitored, to improve the effectiveness of any campaigns. Lots of local community work also, in the end, helped clinch it for them.”
Employer of the Year: Winner
The Employer of the year award was won by Greene&Co as “This firm came across as an outfit that it would be really fun to work at. They do staff trips abroad, they’ve raised more than £30,000 for charity this year, they have a great internal communications system and the Sunday Times voted them one of the best small firms to work for in the country.”
Leader of the Year: David Pollock
David Pollock, picked up the award of estate agency leader of the year as the judges said he was “a determined, inspirational leader, with a strong hand on the tiller. He is respected by his peers and his whole team”, they said.
The Best of The Best Award
According to the write-up in The Negotiator Magazine following on from the evening "The commendable short-list which was a closely guarded secret until the big night, was determined by The Negotiator team, who selected firms based on a mixture of their profitability, their innovation, how happy and motivated their staff are and their marketing acumen. The award also recognises the following firms for their all-round professionalism and their wider role within the profession: Chesterton, Connells Group, Countrywide, Foxtons and Williams & Goodwin.
In the end, it was Greene & Co, a grand example of what a modern estate agency should be all about, that was able to take away its fourth award of the evening - enough to build a trophy cabinet for, we think."

In December 2007 we were officially awarded Estate Agency of the Year 2007 - Best Customer Services.

This means our customer service initiatives are considered the best in the industry, in the UK, by an NAEA backed independent panel of experts. The awards are a benchmark for exceptional standards of service and achievement within the industry. We have been congratulated for our original thinking through the good will charter, company incentive schemes and vigorous checking processes (our MD is completely hands on, checking each and every aspect of the service and offering his direct line on all company stationary!)

Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to work for 2007 & 2008

In addition to our kudos as an Estate Agency of the Year, we also received the honour of being named one of the Sunday Times ‘100 Best Small Companies to Work For’ in 2007 and 2008.

In 2007 and 2008 we were the only Estate Agency in London to receive the superior 2 Star Status Accreditation from Best Companies. In 2009, one of two London agencies to receive accreditation (looks like our competition is stepping up their game!)
David Pollock, Managing Director, Greene & Co., believes in caring for his staff in order to motivate them to do their best. The company philosophy centres on the idea that staff will not be successful unless they are enjoying their work and feel that they are growing as individuals. Unusually within estate agency Greene & Co. retain high levels of staff loyalty, with 86.5% of staff saying they feel engaged within the business vs. only 70.7% of staff from non-accredited companies.
