Going Out
BANNERS
21 Park Road, 020 8348 2930
This is where all the groovers on a Saturday morning head, in fact, they are there all week! Slightly 'world' feel to the menu, massive portions and you can play spot the celebrity. There is a fetching ambience about the place - old punk posters, mixed with motor racing handbills.
MONKEY NUTS
2 Park Road, 020 8340 4466
A fun and relaxed atmosphere, with quick and friendly service. Serving wholesome, reasonably priced food, it’s everything you could want from a casual restaurant; burgers, onions rings, salads and steaks.
THE QUEENS PUB AND DINING ROOM
26 Broadway Parade, 020 8340 2031
The Queen's Pub and Dining Room is located in a stunningly refurbished grade II listed building that remains in all of its original charm and character. The Queens is perfect for drinks with friends, a relaxed meal or a special occasion.
KINGS HEAD
2 Crouch End Hill, 020 8340 1028
Oldest license in the area, goes back hundreds of years. King Canute and Dryden used to drink here (not at the same time). Best comedy club in London downstairs, with occasional jazz evenings.
AANYA
29 Park Road, 020 8342 8686
A great little bar in Crouch End with good Indian tapas which are always served hot and quickly. It has a warm atmosphere and very helpful and polite staff. With vanilla walls, red leather banquettes and moody lighting, this chic little restaurant is perfect for drinks-that-turn-into-dinner type affairs. The sharing platters and snacks are beautifully presented and delicious.
