History
Ashworth Mansions was built in 1899, some sources claim that the block was built in 1900, or even 1902, but the block was in fact first occupied in 1900. Residents were first mentioned in Electoral Registers in 1902, a list that identified that Ashworth Mansions residents had prestigeous careers such as, doctors, surgeons and engineers.
